Getting ready for Hudson

We have had an interesting week with no A/C at our house. After six days our A/C finally works and we get to be in our home! Luckily we are blessed to have both of our parents live so close to us. They welcomed us into their home and we got some good food! ;)

So it's official, our baby boy's name will be Hudson Cole Magbuhat! We have been through many names and this one just "fits".

We have all had fun shopping for Hudson this week. Nana and Grandma have already bought Husdson so many cute things!

JJ and I have also purchased our bedding. We wanted to do something classic with a blue and brown color scheme. I can't wait till we get it in and we can start painting and decorating! :)

Baby Magbuhat is a....

BOY! :)

JJ and I are very excited! We are praying that we can raise a strong Christian man that loves the LORD! We are looking forward to soccer, baseball, golf, and much more! I can't wait to actually see the little guy!
The doctor says that he is measuring right on target and all organs look great! He looks like he has some long legs from his momma! We are very blessed for what looks to be a very active and healthy baby boy.
We got some pictures, but he was moving around like crazy so they are not the best. He is VERY low and doesn't seem to want to move around in all the space that is available to him. :)
We have changed boy names often, but Hudson Cole is high on the list for right now.

Our baby is going to have parents that are teachers!

On Tuesday of this week JJ accepted a 6th Grade Math teaching job from Keller ISD, which is the same district I teach in.  After a lot of prayers, determination, working as a sub and having multiple jobs at once we have seen light at the end of this tunnel!  God has perfect timing and this has been a very blessed week for us.
I know that JJ will a FABULOUS teacher and his students will love him!

Nursery in the Making!

We went crib shopping on Monday and found a couple of cribs we liked.  We went home and thought about which crib fits our style the most and this is what we decided!  My parents wanted to give the two pieces of furniture as a gift.  JJ and I are very grateful and feel very blessed!  We can't wait to begin decorating!  :)

JJ hard at work!

What a wonderful husband and father!  :)

Waiting Game

Some news about the baby this week...

The baby is the size of an onion.  The baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints.

We only have two more weeks till we find out if it is a boy or girl, but it seems like forever!  I can't wait to start planning the nursery and getting all the baby plans in "full swing."  :)

Sweet Little Heartbeat

Today we had our 14 week check up and everything looks good. We heard the sweet little heartbeat! I LOVE hearing it! Now I know why people get the Doppler Kits to listen at home! :) The heartbeat was 162 beats per minute and it was a lot easier for the nurse to find it since the baby is getting bigger.
They did change my next appointment to June 22nd when I'm 19 weeks instead of June 15th because they want to the baby to be a little bigger. So, we will find out pink or blue then! :) Then we can really get started planning that nursery. :)

Sickness and Pregnancy Brain

Thursday night I felt horrible! Fever, headache, cough, sneezing...the whole bit and the worst part...NO MEDICINE! I never realized how wonderful medicine is until the choice was "taken" away. I had to be absent from school on Friday, so I called my family Doctor to see if I could get in just to make sure I didn't have anything horribly wrong like...I don't know...the SWINE FLU! :) Well he was in meetings all day and not taking any appointments, but I am slowly getting better.

Then something occurred...another first of pregnancy for me....Round Ligament Pain! It literally felt as if someone was starting at the bottom of my abdomen and pulling it up! So I called my OB and explained what I was feeling. She told me to take two Tylenol (which is one of the things you can take when you are preggers), drink a big glass of water, warm bath, lay on my left side, and call her back in an hour. So did the whole work up and the pain was still there. This had me worried all day, but I woke up this morning and the pain is gone.(for now) :)

I also experienced another first....Pregnancy Brain! Yesterday I was looking for my peanut butter and could not find it anywhere! I looked up and down the entire pantry for it. I decided to text JJ to see if he knew where it was. Low and behold I got a text back and he said it was in the refrigerator! Of all places! I guess when I put PB on my Eggos the other morning I had mistakenly put the jar in the door of the frig! Who knows what will happen next!
